When really ugly people attack! Thor learns a fun new word.
Did you think that all bankrobbers looked like Ocean's Eleven? Sorry to ruin your illusions here, but like so many other things in Hollywood, it's simply not true.
About a year ago there was a huge robbery in Stavanger, a small city on the south-west coast of Norway. It got huge media attention at home because a policeman was killed in a western-style shootout in this otherwise quiet coastal town, and because the robbery itself was extremely high tech. The robbers got away with something like $10 million, but were stupid enough to leave a lot of dna and other clues behind, so most of them are in jail.
But what these guys might not have iq-wise, they more than make up for in sheer ugliness. When you see what the four main suspects look like, don't you also think that they should be able to keep whatever they got away with? I mean, they don't have much going for them look-wise, I think we should be generous enough to let the money lost go to plastic surgery or paper bags or something for this merry foursome of Trollish Troglodytes.
And by the way, the third and possibly most ridiculously hideous and cavemanish of these guys was caught in Kosovo - of all places - yesterday.
P.S. Thanks to Andrew for the lovely word Troglodyte :-) Tis truly the most majestic of words, and I'll be sure to use it a lot more and incorporate it into my everyday vocabulary.
Sample sentences:
"The still drunk fratboy woke up with a Troglodyte in his bed."
"Attention Shoppers: There's a Troglodyte in aisle four."
"A Troglodyte sorority girl in Troglodyte flip-flops and PJs surprised everyone when she said "Troglodyte" in class today."
(By the way, is this just me or is "Aisle four" the standard answer to all questions I ask at HyVee?
Sample questions:
"-Where's the milk?
-Aisle four."
"-Where are those Troglodytes you were talking about?
-Aisle four."
"Where's aisle five?
-Aisle four."
Etc.)
