The July murder count in Washington D.C.

What is happening to this town?? The 21st murder in this town just for July happened last night, when a kid was stabbed. That is TWENTY ONE.

That is half the Israelis killed in the conflict with Lebanon, just to put it in perspective, the difference is only that DC is not currently in war with anyone. Just a few hours later, an angry husband torched (!) his wife, who is currently fighting for her life in a D.C. hospital.

As strange as this might sound, I'll really feel much safer once I get to New York.
